Hey, Pack 33! Hope you had a great MLK day of service! 🤝🏼 Reporting All MLK Service Hours 🤝🏼 I wanted to follow up and make sure that everyone filled the google form for the MLK hours out (all projects count), even if you have already emailed me or told your leader because it counts towards pack service hours, which we need to track. Remember, it's the form to the right! This is the EASIEST way to log in your hours for your scout & entire family! This step will be important so we can make sure leaders know who did service but also to count it towards rank or Pack Service Hours & that your scouts get credit! IF you are a Den Chief, please fill out under your den -- you guys and your families count too so I can report to the troop advancement chair as well for your rank. This will be by scouts honour & please count everyone who in the family who goes. It can be any community service you did yesterday, even if you walked around the block and picked up trash or went to an event yourself! The goal is/was to give back! You should only have to fill this out once for your family (even if you have 3-4 scouts). Make sure that you mark ALL the dens your scouts are in and list their names (first & last). Share pictures of what you guys did on the FB event, what you did, for everyone in the pack to see and you can even rsvp to show you and or your scout participated! Feel free to email, call or text with questions. Happy Sunny Tuesday everyone! Yours in Scouting, Jonathan Peterson, assistant Cubmaster & Tiger Leader, is the Point of Contact for this event! If you have any questions please contact him at jd.peterson@yahoo.com. Dr. Martin Luther King devoted his life to advancing equality, social justice, and economic opportunity for all. He challenged us to build a more perfect union and taught us that everyone has a role to play. On Monday, January 20, you and your scouts will have an opportunity to live up to Dr. King's challenge as part of the MLK Day of Service at the Silver Spring Civic Building, 1 Veterans Place, in Silver Spring. Community groups, non-profit organizations, and foundations will have various service projects that they will need help completing. Last year, we made lunches for the homeless, blankets for the elderly, and original kid-designed bookmarks. We are not sure what projects will be available this year, but there will be a lot to choose from. WHEN: Monday, January 20, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. WHERE: Meet in the front of the Silver Spring Civic Building, 1 Veteran's Place, Silver Spring, MD 20910. It's located next to the ice rink, and there should be plenty of free parking in the Montgomery County lot across the street. SCOUTS: Please wear Class A uniforms -- this makes it easy to find each other. PARENTS: Leaders will be loosely corralling the scouts. If you are running late, please text the POC, and we'll get your scout on a project with some of his packmates.
