Good afternoon Pack 33 families, Pack will celebrate those who have served our country at Veterans Memorial Park across from the Takoma Park Library on 11/11/2019 @ 2:00 p.m. Scouts should wear their Class A uniforms. Scouts will gather at Ed Wilhelm Field behind Piney Branch Elementary School. Below is an outline of the ceremony program: 1:15 Gathering 1:50 Procession to Veterans Memorial Park 2:00 Pledge of Allegiance, Wreath Presentation, Moment of Silence 2:15 Adjourn Here are a few logistical notes: Have your child dismissed as a walker that day. PBES students should come directly to Ed Wilhelm Field, which is behind their school. Pack 33 leaders and adults will be there to receive them. TPES students should meet me at the flagpole in front of the school from 1:20 – 1:35. I will notify TPES administration of this arrangement, and you should confirm this with your child’s general educator. DCPS and PGCPS systems don't have school that day, and those students and their families are welcome to join Pack on Ed Wilhelm Field for the gathering, or go directly to Veterans Memorial Park at 2:00. Please pick up your child at Veterans Memorial Park at 2:15 after the ceremony. There is parking available behind the Takoma Park Community Center or Library.
