Please consider volunteering in one of these roles: A. Set up: Arrive @ 4:00 pm to set up and arrange tables/chairs/tablecloths; mix coolers of lemonade; get flags/stands from Scout closet; help den leaders set up the stage. We need strong adults for table and chair setup! B. Pick up the cake: Location TBD, but probably one of the local Giant supermarkets or the Costco. Cake will have been ordered and paid for and I will send you the receipt, all you have to do is pick it up on your way to the event. C. During the event: Greet families as they arrive and directing them to their tables, assist with arranging scouts on Church steps for picture; assist dens as they prepare for their skits; cut and serve the birthday cake. D. Clean-up: Assist dens in clearing their tables by providing trash cans/bags; lead effort of group in wiping table and chairs and putting them away; broom-sweep floor and check condition of bathroom prior to departure. An online sign-up page has been created here: Please also use this web page to RSVP and to sign up for potluck dishes for your Den. Please be at the church by 5:00 pm, and expect to be done by around 7:15. Bring the entire family (but please help us during the bridging ceremony by excusing noisy or crying children to the foyer area or the playground) Yours in Scouting, Rob Carter |
